This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 12561521Q0008 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-02. This solicitation will be a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 311119, Other Animal Food Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 500 employees and the PSC is 8710. The Department of Agriculture (ARS) has the need for the following products: 001) Canola Meal (Crude protein not less than 36%), 120 Tons Scope of Work: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Dairy Forage Research Farm in Prairie du Sac, WI is seeking quotes on a 3-month contract for 120 tons of Canola Meal with a crude protein not less than 36%. There will be five (5) recurring deliveries of an approximate 24-tons each over a 3-month period. Deliveries will begin on January 25, 2021. Subsequent deliveries will be approximately every 20 days (Feb. 15, Mar. 5, Mar. 26, and Apr. 15). The contractor must be able to deliver the canola meal via auger truck to bins 15 or 16 at Prairie du Sac farm. Technical Requirements: 5 Canola meal deliveries of approximately 24 tons per delivery. Crude protein not less than 36%. Must be canola meal and not pellets. Total feed volume requirement of 120 tons. Delivery made via auger truck.
