Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking to procure CAPSA carts and related items through a formal solicitation process, with a response deadline of November 18, 2025. The procurement involves purchasing various healthcare carts, monitor mounts, trays, and accessories, with detailed instructions provided for vendors regarding submission requirements, including the necessity to specify alternative brands and equivalent items if they differ from the referenced brand name. Vendors offering substitutes must submit comprehensive documentation to demonstrate equivalency, and any offering of compatible equipment must include supporting materials, software, transportation, setup, and demonstration at no additional cost. The contract duration is set for one year and covers all New York State counties, with the location of delivery at Stony Brook’s facility in Ronkonkoma. The procurement process emphasizes strict compliance with New York State lobbying laws, requiring all communications to be directed solely to designated contacts, and mandates submission of current NYS Worker’s Compensation and Disability Forms. The project also includes specific subcontracting goals: 14% for minority-owned businesses, 16% for women-owned businesses, and 6% for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. The RFQ, identified as Q25-071, outlines terms for pricing, delivery, and payment, and highlights the importance of detailed documentation for any alternative or equivalent products offered. The overall objective is to ensure the hospital receives high-quality, compliant equipment within the specified timeframe, supporting healthcare operations across all NYS counties.
