The Regional Contracting Office, Alaska, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order for the purchase of cargo pods for the AH-64D Apache helicopters storage of extreme cold weather gear for the 25 Aviation Battalion, Fort Wainwright, AK 99703. Under the authority of 10 United States Code (USC) 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR13.106-1(b)(i). It is the Government's intent to proceed with this sole-source action. Anticipated award date is 30 1 August 2018 for a Base plus 4 option year contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 336413. Small Business size standard is: 1250 employees. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. The proposed source, Airglas, Inc., owns the proprietary AH-64D Apache Cargo Pods for the proposed purchase. Airglas,Inc. is the only known supplier that will be able to provide airworthiness release for the AH-64D Apache aircrew extreme cold weather survival equipment storage pods. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the government.
