Full Description

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of the Secretary, intends to award a sole source contract to FABRICA INTERNATIONAL, INC. to purchase carpet for the offices and corridors within the suite of the Office of the Secretary. The custom carpet purchase will provide carpet construction color for 400 Square Yards of Chenille carpet, and 89.33 Square Yards of Chenille carpet base for the Office of the Secretary. FABRICA INTERNATIONAL, INC. is the only company that offers this service. The DOE is proposing to award a contract that consists of two (2) months. The DOE is using exemption to competition 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii), One Responsible source. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. If a firm believes the DOE should not pursue this sole source contract with FABRICA INTERNATIONAL, INC., they should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 2:00PM (Eastern) via e-mail to contact@example.gov. The written response must include a general statement for services mentioned in this announcement and past performance information for relevant work. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
