AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force, through the 421st Supply Chain Management Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base, is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the new manufacture of the CASE, AUGMENTOR, AIRC component with part number 5125T85G01 and NSN 2840014901337OK, intended for use on the J85 engine platform. This is a Sources Sought synopsis under FAR Part 10 and is not a solicitation or funding announcement; no contract will be awarded based on this effort. The government seeks information on capable vendors—ranging from large businesses to Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned Small Businesses—that can produce the item from scratch, including component procurement, inspection, testing, packaging, shipping, and management of supply chain challenges such as diminishing manufacturing sources and long-lead parts. The estimated requirement is for delivery by May 31, 2027, with nonrecurring engineering costs potentially borne by the vendor to qualify as an approved source. Responses must be submitted through the designated vendor interest portal, and all communications should be directed to 421scms.requirements.workflow@us.af.mil. The North American Industry Classification System code is 336412 with a size standard of 1,500 employees, and performance will be centered at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The procurement opportunity is under the Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, and Air Force Sustainment Center, with the notice identified as FD20302401151-04. The government will use the responses to determine whether the requirement can be competitively sourced or set aside for small businesses, and it may consider splitting the requirement by airframe. There is no current funding, and inquiries for a solicitation will not be addressed. The deadline for vendor interest submissions is September 3, 2026, Eastern Time.
