AI Contract Overview
The contract specifies the procurement of a swivel caster, identified by NSN 5340-01-511-7402, with a quantity of one unit and a delivery requirement of 20 days ADO. The solicitation is governed by SPE7L1-26-T-825G and incorporates technical and quality requirements referenced from the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with revisions effective based on the solicitation issue date or award date, depending on acquisition size. Manufacturing may involve casting or forging processes, and if the government lacks the necessary tooling, suppliers must seek assistance through the designated DLA casting and forging portal. The item must comply with MIL-STD-130N for identification marking and be manufactured to the current revision of the applicable part standard, with past revisions still acceptable for previously produced hardware. Packaging must meet DLA requirements, and any non-accepted supplies must have government identification removed. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited from direct contact with the hardware, except in functional applications such as batteries, fluorescent lights, sensors, weapon systems, or specified chemical reagents, with portable devices containing mercury requiring shock-proof construction and a secondary containment boundary as per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Sampling and inspection must follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 Table 1, using zero non-conformances unless otherwise stated, with attribute identification levels assigned as VII for critical, IV for major, and II for minor characteristics. The procurement is fully competitive under a military or federal specification, with the solicitation posted on July 12, 2026, and responses due by July 23, 2026, coordinated through the DLA Land Supply Chain organization.
