AI Contract Overview
This contract covers the procurement of a catheterization kit specifically designed for suprapubic puncture procedures. The kit is disposable, sterile, made from natural latex, single use only, and includes a 14 French size with components such as a 14FR needle introducer, 12FR Bardex lubricath Foley catheter, council catheter stylet, urine collection bag, and a pre-filled catheter inflation syringe. Each complete unit is packaged as a sealed container that protects the contents from damage and is further packed in suitable commercial exterior shipping containers to ensure safe delivery to the specified destination, Camp Pendleton, CA. The units are issued in packages of six and must have a shelf life of 36 months, with at least 30 months remaining upon receipt. Packaging and marking must comply with DLA packaging requirements and Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding prior MIL-STD-129 instructions. The contract specifies compliance with ASTM D3951 for packaging but gives precedence to the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements. Delivery terms call for shipment within 20 days to the destination, with inspection and acceptance performed at the destination point. The contract mandates fast, traceable shipping methods and requires bidders to specify the source and part number, referencing C.R. Bard, Inc., P/N 143112. The contract quantity is two packages, with a strict zero variance policy on quantity, and it is managed by the Medical Supply Chain MD Surg FSF under the Department of Defense.
