Canada lacks a current and historical view of its application portfolio to enable analysis, reporting, and effective management of IT and business information. Canada intends to use this information to make Government of Canada wide decisions, such as to direct investments to applications that support systems of highest priority and business value. Specifically, Canada is seeking an industry-leading solution to provide Departments / Agencies with an improved way to collect application-related information. Canada intends to use both current and historic data to assess application health, provide recommendations on application modernization, identify and link at-risk and mission critical applications with the services they provide, target IT investments for systems of high business value, and support technical debt remediation.
