NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska intends to award a sole source purchase order to Sysmex America, Inc. as a result of them having authorization to service the Cellavision DM96 machine and has historically serviced this particular machine, thus precluding the incurrence of unnecessary, extra costs for a completely new vendor to perform an extensive initial diagnostic. This requirement is to repair and bring up to operable condition a Cellavision DM96 machine located at the 673 Medical Group on JBER, Elmendorf, Alaska. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 13 September 2016. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 6 September 2016 at 2 pm Alaska Daylight Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
