CGC Harry Claiborne bow thruster controller

The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, IBCT Product Line, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to NIDEC for the following supplies: BOW THRUSTER CONTROLLER P/N:DC0850-MBL0-C NIDEC is the OEM for this item. The original manufacturer of the referenced items and maintains the proprietary rights, which makes them the sole source. The OEM has limited the availability of proprietary information. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC Harry Claiborne. Vendor will provide all the parts listed above. NAICS Code # 333618 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800 PST March 11,2020 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
