Please Acknowledge Amendment 001: Solicitation closes on 31 Aug 2011 @ 0800 am pacific time. "Alternate borescopes that meet or exceed the Olympus IPLEX IV8000 borescope listed above are acceptable. Alternate borescopes shall meet the following salient characteristics: - Battery Time: Greater than 1 hr... Necessary for duration of troubleshooting and potential use for search and seizure law enforcement boardings. - On-board Image Quality: Resolution XGA resolution or higher, Large screen 5 inches or greater... necessary for identification accuracy and troubleshooting. - Articulating Scope and lengths: Must have articulating tips (4 way capable) at least 90 degrees with variable lengths from as small as 1 meter and up to at least 7 meters. Necessary for piping runs and the entire length of a Gas Turbine enclosure or Main Diesel Engine Piping run. - Full Articulating Tips and Retrieval Tool capability: Hook, drag and claw attachment capability... necessary for foreign object retrieval and failure analysis, also capable of non-destructive evidence retrieval for law enforcement boardings. - Wide angle field of View: At least 90 degrees. - Base Unit Stereo Measurement Capability: Accurate measurement of distance, point to point (point to line) and depth are required. - Video Capture and Playback: At least 2 minutes of Video, plus 200 still images, ...necessary for evidence collection and improved failure analysis by shoreside resources - Video Output: NTSC/PAL compatibility: s-video preferred, composite BNC okay... enables an extended or remote monitor in tighter spaces or to enable multiple viewers. - Resilience/Durability: Ruggedized/Industrial capability.
