--Change in contract type for two contracts

Contracts DAAD05-02-P-0154 and DAAD05-02-P-0155 were awarded on December 1, 2001, as Firm Fixed Price agreements to Keystone Electric Company and L.H. Cranston and Sons, Inc., respectively. These contracts provide per call and emergency maintenance services for the Fire Safety Test Enclosure at the United States Army Aberdeen Test Center. The original terms included a base year with three option years for performance. However, effective December 1, 2002, the contract type will be modified from Firm Fixed Price to Time and Materials, reflecting a change in how services will be compensated. This modification is subject to the Government’s discretion regarding competition; any determination not to compete the revised contract will be based on the responses to the issued notice. Information received from interested parties will primarily aid the Government in deciding whether to proceed with a competitive procurement process. The contracts are managed by the Department of Defense office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
