Chapel concrete stairs and walkway

The Chickasaw Nation is soliciting bids for the construction of concrete stairs and a walkway, approximately 100 linear feet, to provide access from the upper parking area to an existing gazebo at 3700 Pre-Paid Way. The project requires the contractor to perform all necessary site work, including final grading and cleanup. Bidders must submit their proposals by August 26, 2026, and include an estimated completion date. A site visit must be completed by August 25, 2026, and should be scheduled through Brandon Brasher. The construction must adhere to the 2018 International Building Code, specifically Section 1011 for stairways and Section 1012 for ramps. Key technical requirements include a maximum 5 percent running slope and a maximum 2 percent cross slope for walkways, with landings at the bottom of the stairway also limited to a 2 percent slope. If the vertical rise exceeds 12 feet, an intermediate landing is required. The contractor is responsible for providing detailed construction plans for approval, including elevations, riser dimensions, concrete thickness, reinforcement, and earth embedment details, ensuring that the final design prevents water accumulation on all walking surfaces.
