Full Description

The Chapel Hill Facility, located at 13801 CR 220, Tyler, Texas 75707, is owned by the City of New Chapel Hill and leased by Smith County Emergency Services District No. 2. The facility serves multiple functions within the community, operating as a fire station, community center, and the office of the Mayor of New Chapel Hill. The existing kitchen was originally designed as a shared facility serving both the Fire Station and Community Center. As use of the building has evolved, the shared kitchen arrangement has become increasingly inefficient and no longer adequately supports the operational needs of either occupant. To improve functionality, storage, food preparation capabilities, and overall facility operations, Smith County ESD No. 2 intends to renovate the existing kitchen area and create two independent kitchen spaces. The project will establish a dedicated Fire Station Kitchen to support daily station operations and a dedicated Community Center Kitchen to support community events, meetings, and public functions.
