SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking proposals for a charitable medication distribution service with a total award amount of up to $125,000, authorized under NYS Education Law Section 355(5)(a). The contract, which spans from June 15, 2025, to June 14, 2030, will serve all counties in New York State and involves providing medications at no cost to individuals lacking insurance coverage. Interested vendors must respond by March 27, 2025, and are required to contact the designated campus representative, Will Tackley, via email or phone, as all communications must adhere strictly to NYS lobbying laws to avoid legal violations or disqualification. Vendors are also obligated to submit specific compliance documents, including NYS Worker’s Compensation and Disability Forms, and adhere to vendor responsibility and tax law requirements. The procurement does not set aside any MWBE or service-disabled veteran-owned business contracting goals, and the vendor must demonstrate experience with similar contracts, notably with Dispensary of Hope, LLC, within the past five years. The process emphasizes compliance with New York State laws governing lobbying and vendor responsibility, with a focus on transparency and legal adherence. The contract aims to support medication access for uninsured populations across New York, with the procurement process managed through the New York State Contract System, and further details available through the designated contact or the official procurement website.
