This national program provides FDA-cleared electro-therapeutic devices and accessories to support non-opioid pain management across 168 VA Medical Centers and over 1,000 Community Based Outpatient Clinics. The scope includes portable TENS units, portable Interferential Current (IFC) devices, thermal and non-thermal Short-Wave Diathermy devices, and portable Neuromodulation systems for headache disorders, along with associated accessories such as electrodes and lead wires. All products must be OEM-new, feature a one-year warranty, and meet universal Minimum Technical Requirements, including FDA 510(k) clearance for home use. AI Contract Overview

The Department of Defense, specifically the 99th Medical Group at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, sought a primary and backup Chemistry/Immuno-Chemistry Instrument under solicitation FA4861-17-D-B005. This requirement focused on procuring analyzers that could fit within strict laboratory space dimensions and meet CAP accreditation standards. While the government initially conducted market research through a Request for Information to identify potential sources, the procurement was ultimately justified as a non-competitive lease for two Siemens Vista 500 analyzers. The selection of the Siemens Vista 500 was based on unique space constraints and the necessity of an integrated water purification system. The resulting agreement includes a base year and four option years. Technical evaluations for this requirement involved comparing the spatial specifications and service access needs of the Siemens equipment against other industry models, including those from Abbot, Beckman/Coulter, Roche, and Ortho.
