Full Description

Caltrans proposes a pedestrian improvement project in the city of Gridley to improve access to the major pedestrian crossing at Cherry Street. The project is located in Butte County, along State Route (SR) 99, from Post Mile (PM) 3.91 to 3.96. This project is needed because the sidewalk gap on SR 99, south of Cherry Street, presents a significant barrier to pedestrians traveling southbound or using the Cherry Street crosswalk. Closing this gap will improve pedestrian access to essential community facilities without compromising safety. All work will be completed within existing roadway prism, and no new pavement will be required. Project will not require staging or temporary construction
