Full Description

The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20 is approving an Addendum to a previously adopted Initial Study/Negative Declaration for renewal of a Hazardous Waste Facility Permit (Permit) for Chevron Environmental Management Company (CEMC). DTSC prepared an Addendum pursuant to a previously adopted 1993 Initial Study/Negative Declaration (IS/ND) due to updates to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines and not as a result of project changes. The Permit Renewal will authorize continued operations and delayed closure of the Integrated Wastewater Pond System (IWPS) and post closure care of the Consolidation Area. The Permit does not include any physical changes, changes in operations, construction, or ground disturbing activities. CEMC is located at 940 Hensley Street in Richmond, California 94801.
