The Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Program is a competitive discretionary grant administered directly by the federal government. It is designed to increase postsecondary education participation among low-income parents by funding the establishment and maintenance of campus-based child care services. These grants allow institutions to provide essential child care, as well as before- and after-class support services, to ensure that economically disadvantaged students can successfully pursue their degrees. The program falls under the sectors of education, health, and human services. While the current status is closed pending the next funding cycle, the program is forecasted for 2026. The initiative specifically targets institutions of higher education that can demonstrate a need for child care services to support their low-income student population.
