The Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal is conducting a market survey under FAR 15.201(e) to identify qualified contractors capable of manufacturing the Chute, Ammunition (NSN 1005-01-325-3394, P/N 7-317236286-11), a critical component for the AH-64D/E Apache helicopter system. The Government currently lacks a complete technical data package for this item and is seeking vendors who possess the capability to produce it, including those with an active DD2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement on file with DLIS. Responses must be submitted via email to Steven Klemmer with Michael Shammami copied, by June 18, 2026, at 3:30 P.M. EST, and are required to include company name, CAGE code, certification of current manufacturing capability, production lead time, minimum order quantity, unit pricing, past experience manufacturing the item for the U.S. Government, and details of any quality management system certifications such as ISO or AS9100. All submissions must clearly mark any proprietary or confidential information with “CONFIDENTIAL” in all capital letters, with electronic files requiring beginning and ending legends to identify protected content, and failure to do so will result in loss of protection under 18 U.S.C. §1905. Respondents must also certify their business size status and compliance with the Nonmanufacturer Rule, and confirm whether they are the manufacturer or a reseller of the item. This survey is strictly informational and does not constitute a solicitation, request for proposal, or commitment by the Government. No contract clauses, evaluation factors, pricing, or delivery terms are established at this stage. The purpose is to assess industry capacity and readiness to support future procurement planning, including determining whether potential sources exist to fill a gap caused by the absence of technical data. While the contracting office is located in Warren, Michigan, the place of performance and FOB terms will be determined based on vendor responses.
