CI-499 Electrical mods for motor control/ switch gear

Navfac Mid-Atlantic, under the Department of the Navy, is forecasting electrical modifications for the motor control and switchgear serving the 400 series tanks at Facility CI498 in Norfolk. The project is necessitated by the fact that the current equipment is antiquated, has exceeded its useful life expectancy, and represents a single point of failure for critical JP5 and F76 operations. Due to the age of the system, current repairs are inefficient and require custom-made switches and bus bars with long lead times. This contract aims to address these vulnerabilities by updating the electrical infrastructure to ensure operational reliability and reduce maintenance delays.
