Circular Dichroism Spectrometer

This acquisition is a total small business set-aside for a Circular Dichroism Spectrometer to be delivered to the USDA National Animal Disease Center in Ames, Iowa, under solicitation number 1232SA26Q0719, issued as a combined synopsis and solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 12 for commercial items. The requirement is for a single instrument with specific technical capabilities, including simultaneous measurement of circular dichroism, linear dichroism, and absorbance across a wavelength range of 163–950 nm, powered by an air-cooled Xenon 150W supracil lamp and a dual prism polarizing monochromator. Additional hardware includes a Peltier temperature control system operating from -40°C to +130°C with ±0.5°C accuracy, a scanning emission monochromator for fluorescence (200–750 nm), a computer with at least 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD, and Windows 11-compatible software.
