Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of the Leveling, Resurfacing, and Drainage Improvements to South Poplar Street, Seventh Street, Pitts Avenue, South Charles Street, Red Bud Drive, North Cleveland Avenue, and Florida Road located in the City of Adel, Georgia until 11:00am (local time), Friday June 19, 2026, at which time bids will be opened and read.
The meeting will be held at the City of Adel City Hall and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Rhonda Rowe, City of Adel, P. O. Box 1530, Adel, Georgia 31620 or delivered to 112 North Parrish Avenue, Adel, Georgia 31620. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The City of Adel may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. The Scope of Work Includes: Leveling, Resurfacing, and Drainage Improvements to South Poplar Street, Seventh Street, Pitts Avenue, South Charles Street, Red Bud Drive, North Cleveland Avenue, and Florida Road.
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Adel in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Adel. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.
The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to City of Adel, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.
All work on the project must be completed by August 30, 2026.
