Watermain Replacement Calgary’s water distribution system includes many aging metallic watermains that are vulnerable to corrosion, leaks, and failures due to age and local soil conditions. These deteriorating assets increase the risk of service disruptions, emergency repairs, public safety concerns, and higher lifecycle costs. The Water Main Replacement Program uses a risk‑based, data‑driven approach to proactively replace or rehabilitate the highest‑risk infrastructure, improving system reliability, reducing unplanned outages, and ensuring the continued delivery of safe drinking water. The following are the watermain locations needing replacement: · 19 AV SW from 14 ST SW to 15 ST SW · 32 AV SW from 16 ST SW to 17 ST SW · 10 ST SW from Premier WY SW to Dorchester AV SW · Colborne Crescent SW from 12 ST to 13 ST SW Storm Extension In addition, two storm main extension projects funded through the federal Housing Accelerator Fund are being advanced to address capacity limitations in existing storm infrastructure. These upgrades are required to support higher‑density redevelopment, reduce drainage risks, and enable timely housing growth by removing servicing constraints. Together, these investments support infrastructure resilience, housing acceleration, and long‑term community sustainability. The following are the locations requiring storm extensions: · 38 ST SW from 10 AV SW to 8 AV SW · Elbow DR SW from 9751 Elbow DR SW to Havenhurst CR SW

City of Calgary - Request for Proposal - 26-1755 Fully Managed Network Services and Private 5G Test Environment for Wave Tech Centre (Formerly 26-1552)
Solicitation # AB-2026-06915
The City of Calgary is seeking proposals under RFP 26-1755 for a fully managed network environment to support the Wave Tech Centre. This project replaces a previous solicitation and requires a comprehensive solution that integrates LAN switching, routing, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and firewalling into a single managed service. The network will utilize a multi-site architecture connected via City-supplied single-mode fibre and dual Internet service providers using Border Gateway Protocol. To maintain security, the environment will remain air-gapped from the City's operational network, with limited integrations for identity services and security logging. A critical requirement of this contract is the implementation and operation of a private 5G indoor and outdoor test environment. While the City retains the spectrum license, the selected proponent is responsible for technical compliance and documentation. The successful vendor will provide operational monitoring, reporting, lifecycle management, and knowledge transfer, ensuring the system can scale for future growth. Proposals are due by October 29, 2026, for this non-critical network that requires business-hours availability and performance standards.
