City of Coalinga Sanitary Sewer Collection System and Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements

The City of Coalinga plans to upgrade its sanitary sewer collection system and wastewater treatment plant through a combination of trenchless and conventional construction methods. Approximately 30,815 linear feet of gravity sewer mains will be rehabilitated using trenchless technologies to minimize surface disruption, while about 19,801 linear feet of older or damaged mains will be replaced using traditional excavation techniques. The project also includes miscellaneous repairs and enhancements to the city’s wastewater treatment facility to improve operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. All work is focused within Coalinga, California, with the goal of extending the lifespan and reliability of critical infrastructure serving the community. The initiative is being managed by the City of Coalinga’s Utilities Department, with Anthony Uribe, Utilities Supervisor, serving as the primary point of contact for project inquiries. Travis Crawford, Principal Environmental Planner, provides additional technical and environmental oversight. Although the solicitation number is not yet assigned, the project is forecasted for future procurement and is expected to advance under California state guidelines. The work is designed to align with long-term municipal infrastructure goals, reduce environmental impact, and ensure consistent wastewater service to residents and businesses in the area.
