The City of Pontotoc, Mississippi, is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide professional engineering services for a water infrastructure project. The scope of work is divided into two primary phases: an application phase, which involves preparing preliminary engineering reports and cost estimates to secure funding from agencies such as the Appalachian Regional Commission and Community Development Block Grants, and a post-award phase. If funding is secured, the selected engineer will be responsible for the project through closeout, including the preparation of plans and specifications, bid document distribution, bid assistance, conducting preconstruction conferences, and performing construction inspections and payment approvals. The contract will be awarded on a fixed-price basis to the proposer with the highest cumulative score based on qualifications (40 points), experience (40 points), and capacity for performance (20 points). Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked Proposal for Engineering Services and delivered to Pontotoc City Hall by September 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Award of the contract is contingent upon grant approval and environmental conditions.
