City of Quitman E Goode St (Hwy 154) Sewer Line Replacement

Work under the Project includes: 1. Construction of approximately 620-LF of 10-in diameter SDR 26 PVC Sewer Line 2. 16-in diameter steel casing by dry bore at driveways. 3. Move existing sewer services from existing 8-in sewer line to new 10-in sewer line. Move existing sewer services from existing 6-in sewer line to existing 8-in sewer line. 4. Construction new precast 48-in diameter manholes with 30” rings and covers. 5. Replace existing manhole with new 48-in diameter manhole with 30” ring and cover. 6. Connect sewer lines to new manholes. 7. Install 2-way cleanout assembly on each sewer service line. 8. Cut and plug existing 6-in sewer line. Install cleanout assembly on existing 6-in sewer line. 9. Remove abandoned manhole and sewer lines. Work sequence includes: A. Provide necessary materials, equipment, plugs, bypass pumps, and labor to complete the Work. Coordinate Work so that sewer services are not interrupted and overflows do not occur. B. Temporary bypass section of 8-in sewer being replaced transfer to existing 6-in sewer line. C. Temporary services to existing 6-in sewer line. D. Replace section of existing 8-in sewer with new 10-in sewer. E. Move services to new 10-in sewer line. F. Move services on existing 6-in sewer line not within section of new 10-in to existing 8-in sewer line. G. Remove abandoned manholes. Cut and plug section of 6-in sewer line.
