CITY OF ROHNERT PARK ROUTINE STREAM MAINTENANCE PROGRAM, LAKE OR STREAMBED ALTERATION

The City of Rohnert Park is implementing a Routine Stream Maintenance Program focused on nine existing creeks and drainage channels within Rohnert Park, California. The primary objectives of the project are to preserve flow capacity, maintain existing bridges, culverts, and outfalls, and reduce fire hazards. Authorized under CDFW Agreement No. EPIMS-SON-62156-R3, the scope of work includes the removal of sediment and debris, the elimination of invasive species, and selective vegetation trimming and removal, all conducted within the existing maintained footprint. This project is classified as a forecast and does not involve any new construction or channel expansion. According to the Notice of Exemption signed on September 10, 2026, the program is granted a Categorical Exemption under California Code regulations Title 14, Section 15301, as it pertains to the ongoing maintenance of existing facilities.
