Scope of Work: The work comprises, in general, the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, and performing all operations to demolish certain existing elements (not including existing bus shelter which will be removed by others prior to start of construction) and to construct all proposed bus shelter site improvements as well as assembly and installation of Contractor-purchased bus shelters for the City of Sunrise as described and specified further in the Technical Specifications and as shown on the Contract Drawings.
Generally, the proposed program elements are: • Demolition of existing concrete slabs and sidewalk • Construction of bus shelter foundations and sidewalk extensions • Permitting and installation of grounding rods (with exothermically welded connections to shelter and foundation) • Installation of site furnishings (contractor to furnish and install) • Assembly and installation of Contractor-purchased unassembled shelters • Sod and miscellaneous site restoration
