Overview: The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualifed contractor to: Replace existing furnace and A/C at the Clarion, IA Maintenance Garage as per specifications outlined in RFB FY2025 #076 Specifications & Photos document (Attachment tab).
Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity.
Estimated project start date- Upon issuance of award (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract).
Estimated project end date- 12/30/2024 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids)
Contract Award: Award will be made by sub-line item (new or remanufactured).
Taxes: This project is exempt from state sales tax.
Project Timeline: Start and completion dates listed in this solicitation are desired dates. Bidders are welcome to propose other reasonable dates for DOT consideration based on but not limited to; lead time for materials, beginning or ends of seasonal periods, coordination and availability of subcontractors.
