The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 354th Fighter Wing at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified contractors for on-call, critical emergency and scheduled maintenance and repair services for the Central Heat and Power Plant. To be eligible, contractors must hold an active National Board R Stamp Certificate of Authorization and ensure all welding personnel are certified under ASME Section IX. All repairs must be inspected and accepted by a certified State of Alaska Boiler Inspector, with the contractor responsible for both scheduling and funding these inspections. The contractor must provide all necessary tooling, transportation, and equipment, as the government will provide no furnished property. Additionally, personnel must be vetted through the Defense Biometric Identification System and comply with all base HAZMAT and safety regulations.
