Full Description

The Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to award a sole source contract to McKesson Technologies, 5995 Windward Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 3005, for software service and support for an evidence based clinical criteria review used by the Phoenix Indian Medical Center Inpatient Case Management department to make utilization review decisions. This software will satisfy the Centers of Medicine and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation (CoPs) requirement for a healthcare organization to have a utilization review process in place. Training will be available for new hospital staff users on the use of the software to make confident utilization review decisions. This software will be used to establish the medical necessity of admissions for the In-Patient Case Management Department at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. This software is vital for the performance and functioning of several departments within the Phoenix Indian Medical Center. The Government believes that only McKesson Technologies Inc is capable of providing this service. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however any firm that believes it can supply these services may give written notification to the Contract Specialist via e-mail at dannette.cappello@ihs.gov, by 12:00 PM EST on April 17, 2017. SUPPORTING EVIDENCE MUST BE FURNISHED IN SUFFICIENT DETAIL to the above listed e-mail address, ATTN: Danette Cappello, Contract Specialist. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, IHS will proceed with negotiating a sole source award to McKesson Technologies, Inc.
