The City of Malibu has issued a series of approvals, including Coastal Development Permit No. 23-073, Variance No. 25-019, Site Plan Review No. 23-035, and Minor Modification No. 24-005, for the construction of a new two-story single-family residence located at 32832 Pacific Coast Highway. The project consists of a 5,168 square foot home featuring a 2,192 square foot basement and an 840 square foot subterranean two-car garage. Additional site developments include an onsite wastewater treatment system, a driveway, landscaping, and a pool with associated decks. The project includes specific regulatory approvals and modifications, such as a variance for fuel modification encroachment into an Environmentally Sensitive Habitat area buffer and a minor modification allowing for up to a 50 percent reduction of the front yard setback. Under Categorical Exemption No. 23-161, the project is exempt from CEQA guidelines as no significant environmental impacts are anticipated.
