The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-68881-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Abbie Colbert (Permittee). The Project is limited to one (1) encroachment to conduct a geotechnical boring to inform future dock, pier, and piling replacement and repair. A concrete core drill will be used to cut a small hole (approximately 6-inches in diameter) through the existing concrete pad to pass a 2-inch drilling rod into the Noyo River. The depth of the boring will be up to 80 feet deep. To avoid potential impacts to salmonids and green sturgeon, the proposed in-water work will occur within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) approved work window of July 15 to October 15. The project is anticipated to be completed in one day. If the tracked drill rig cannot be set up on the concrete dock, the drill will be operated from a barge in the Noyo River.
