Cold Plane and HMA on I-15 in San Diego County

Caltrans District 11 is initiating a highway maintenance project in San Diego County focused on the I-15 managed lanes, specifically from 0.5 miles to 0.01 miles south of the route 56/15 separation. The primary scope of work involves extending the life of the pavement through cold planning and paving the asphalt sections with 0.25 feet of Type-A hot mix asphalt, ensuring the new surface elevation matches the existing pavement.
