The Combined Air Operation Center eXperimental (CAOC-X) Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) contract provides critical test, experimentation, technical support, and subject matter expertise. This specific action is a sole-source six-month bridge contract awarded to Technica Corporation, effective from March 1, 2025, through August 31, 2025. The bridge is intended to prevent a break in essential services while a competitive re-compete is finalized, utilizing authority 6.302-1 as no other contractor possesses the highly specialized knowledge and available staff to meet the immediate requirements. Managed by the Department of Defense under solicitation FA489024Q0819R1 and NAICS code 541511, the work is performed at Langley AFB in Virginia. The contract is structured as a firm-fixed-price labor agreement, with separate cost-only CLINs designated for travel and other direct costs. Despite two separate notices of contract action posted to Sam.gov, no other industry responses were received, justifying the sole-source approach to maintain operational continuity for the AOC WS.
