Full Description

The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to Tora Tora Tora. The required services is an air-show act consisting of eight (8) Japanese aircraft composed of Zero fighters, Kate torpedo bombers and dive bombers. The show consists of a pyrotechnics demonstration that provides a realistic simulation of capabilities of the eight (8) aircraft. Included is an announcer that provides a historical narration about the aircraft and the role they played in avionics history. Additionally, inluded in the cost is all pyrotechnics for the Combined Arms Demo and F15E Demonstration flight. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 2 February 09 at 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. The anticipated award date is 4 February 09.
