The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded Firm Fixed Price commercial contract to Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. (BHTI), Fort Worth, TX for the procurement of the following items: Up to three (3) Bell 407 variant commercial helicopters, associated Bell 407 unique components, support equipment, preservation and storage to support the MQ-8 Fire Scout UAS. This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
