Compression Garments and Accessories

The Compression Garment Program under Saskatchewan Aids to Independent Living (SAIL) provides customized compression garments and accessories to eligible Saskatchewan residents with serious medical conditions such as hypertrophic scarring, chronic lymphedema, paraplegia, deep vein thrombosis, or a history of ulceration, where compression therapy of 20 mmHg or higher is medically necessary and other interventions like elevation or medication are insufficient. The program, administered by the Ministry of Health’s Drug Plan and Extended Benefits Branch and the Saskatchewan Health Authority, supports approximately 1,500 residents annually with garments tailored to individual clinical needs. This continuous solicitation process, identified as 8851-Continuous, does not require new bids from prequalified suppliers already approved under prior procurement, ensuring uninterrupted supply. The solicitation remains open until December 31, 2029, with primary contact managed through the Saskatchewan Public Sector, serving clients across the province.
