The City of St. Petersburg seeks qualified vendors to provide quotes for the installation of a conventional split style air conditioning system designed for 3.5 tons to replace the existing 5-ton Libert unit. The project involves removing and disposing of the current unit, installing a new outdoor condenser and indoor air handler mounted on the floor, and connecting all necessary refrigerant piping. Because split style AC systems lack humidifier capabilities, the contract also requires the installation of a standalone humidifier with a minimum capacity of 5 pounds per hour. This solicitation is a sheltered bid, mandating that at least 20 percent of the contracting effort, including the cost of supplies, be self-performed by a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) prime contractor. The work falls under the Real Estate and Property Management agency of Florida in St. Petersburg. Interested vendors must submit their responses by May 21, 2026, with primary and secondary points of contact available for inquiries. The nature of the contract emphasizes compliance with the sheltered market requirements alongside the technical specifications for the HVAC and humidification systems.

The City of St. Petersburg ("City") is requesting quotes from qualified vendors for the installation of a conventional split style AC system sized for 3.5-tons. The system will be mounted on the floor and would require a new outdoor condenser unit, indoor air handler unit, and associated refrigerant piping. This system will replace the current 5-ton Libert unit, which will have to be uninstalled and disposed of by the vendor. A separate humidifier system must be installed as well, as conventional split style AC units do not have humidifier capability. A standalone humidifier with a capacity of 5 pounds per hour is recommended for this application. This is a sheltered bid. For contracts placed in a sheltered market, at least 20 percent of the contracting effort (including the cost of supplies) must be self-performed by the SBE prime contractor.
