Condensate Vacuum Line Repair

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the 260-NETWORK Contract Office 20, is conducting market research for a condensate vacuum line repair project at the American Lake VA Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, under solicitation number 36C26026Q0750. This notice, posted on June 17, 2026, with a response deadline of June 26, 2026, is a Sources Sought announcement intended solely to gather market intelligence and evaluate price reasonableness for a potential small business set-aside contract under NAICS code 238990. The project requires replacement of approximately 450 feet of deteriorated 2”, 2½”, and 3” steam condensate vacuum return lines running from manhole #9 to manhole #10A through manhole #10, and from manhole #10 to Building #2, beneath parking lot #6. Work includes utility locates, fencing and signage, saw cutting of asphalt and concrete, excavation to expose steam utilidors, removal and replacement of broken utilidor lids, backfilling with 5/8” crushed rock, and full restoration of asphalt, sidewalks, curbing, and parking striping. All work must comply with VHA standards, and no government-furnished equipment will be provided. The contract, if awarded, is expected to be a firm-fixed price supply purchase with a 120-day performance period following issuance of the notice to proceed. Only small businesses are eligible to respond, as this is a total small business set-aside under FAR 19.5. Respondents must be registered in SAM.gov and provide their UEI number, company contact details, and business size status, including whether they are SDVOSB or VOSB, which requires registration in the SBA VetCert Registry.
