Conduit Placement Project 725-6BB-1933

Caltrans has approved an encroachment permit for Charter Communications to conduct utility work within the state right-of-way along Route 213 at postmile 8.48 in Torrance, Los Angeles County. The project involves digging a 5-foot trench with a maximum depth of 48 inches and an average width of 12 inches to install PVC conduit, removing and replacing the full width of concrete between score lines, and tying into one existing CATV vault. In addition to the trench work, Charter will install a stub-out PVC conduit, place 1,220 feet of aerial cable on seven existing utility poles, and run three feet of cable through an existing underground conduit. All work will be conducted without relocating public utilities or acquiring new right-of-way. Associated temporary traffic control measures will be implemented to ensure public safety during construction. The permit is issued under the project title Conduit Placement Project 725-6BB-1933, with Mojgan Abbassi of Caltrans District 7 serving as the primary point of contact for the approval.
