SUNY Upstate Medical University plans to acquire Conmed Surgical Energy and Smoke Evac and Related Products through a procurement process authorized by Premier under section 163 (3) (vi), which allows for purchasing from a consortium or similar entity without a competitive bidding process when justified by favorable pricing. Vendors interested in offering equivalent products must demonstrate clinical performance comparable to Medtronic Surgical Energy and Smoke Evac products, providing supporting clinical documentation and equipment for evaluation. The vendor must be authorized to sell Conmed products listed on the Premier contract or an approved equivalent. This procurement is governed by New York State’s Lobbying Law, restricting contact to a designated individual, Rachel Hawthorne, and emphasizing compliance to avoid legal violations or disqualification. The successful vendor will need to submit current NYS Workman’s Compensation and Disability Forms. The contract, set to last for the duration of the Premier Agreement, is located in Onondaga County at 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY, with a project response deadline of August 27, 2024. The procurement is open to any qualified business entities, including those with similar past contracts, but is not set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses.
