Project School Sidewalks-East Helena will construct a new ADA/PROWAG-compliant concrete sidewalk along the north side of Lewis St. between Montana Ave./Valley Dr. and Kalispell Ave. The new sidewalk will provide connectivity between Prickly Pear Elementary School and East Valley Middle School with ADA-compliant walkways. The new sidewalk will include ADA-compliant curb ramps at Valley Dr. and Prickly Pear Ave. and will connect to the existing sidewalk on the south side of the Prickly Pear Elementary School approach (via a school crossing across Montana Ave./Valley Dr.) and existing sidewalk on the NE corner of Kalispell Ave. and Lewis St. Other work will include placement of new asphalt and/or gravel adjacent to the new sidewalk for transitions to existing ground, minor excavation, erosion control, striping, signing, delineation, and revegetation.
