THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15B50019B00000001 for the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract for the construction of a logistics warehouse located at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Fort Worth, Texas, for the Federal Bureau of Prisons South Central Regional Office. FMC Fort Worth is a federal correctional facility located at 3150 Horton Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76119. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials, labor, testing, training etc. for the complete construction of the work. Base Bid: Design and construction of a metal warehouse-building at Federal Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas. The base bid shall include the design and construction of a 200' x 200' pre-engineered metal building shell, to include site earthwork and leveling, shallow spread-footing foundation, and metal-building erection. Option #1 The bid option shall include construction of 31,500 sq. ft. of parking and driveway areas, and extension and connection of utility services to support the new facility. See scope of Work attachment included with the solicitation posting (to be issued at a later date as described herein) for the complete requirements of the work. The performance period for the project will be 365 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed for the base bid and 180 calendar days from issuance of a modification for Option #1. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 for the base bid and $500,000 to $1,000,000 for Option #1. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a corresponding small business size standard of $35.5 million. The solicitation will be available approximately on or about July 31, 2019, with an anticipated bid opening date of September 3, 2019. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Business Opportunities (FBO)website at www.fbo.gov.
