THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15B41918B00000002 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Construct Switchgear Building at the Administrative United States Penitentiary (AUSP) Thomson. AUSP Thomson is a federal correctional facility located at 1100 One Mile Road, Thomson, Illinois 61285. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work. The purpose of the project construct an enclosure for new and existing switchgear and associated electrical equipment, relocation of the existing generator and other site improvements. The Specifications be issued with the solicitation and provide further details. The performance period for the project will be 330 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
