Boulder County is looking to hire a consultant to assist with the development and advancement of construction & deconstruction (C&D) waste policy across Boulder County and its cohort member municipalities: Erie, Lafayette, and Longmont. Project activities include conducting ordinance research, interviews with peer communities, end market review, and stakeholder engagement work. The goal of this project is the development of a C&D ordinance that may be adopted by each cohort member. The consulting firm may also assist with policy implementation activities such as staff training, comparing data tracking options, and creating bilingual (English and Spanish) educational resources for contractors and homeowners. Funding for this project comes from a State of Colorado grant, which is a pass through from a federal grant. Boulder County staff will be lead project management and be the main point of contact for this project.
