REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP NUMBER: PW-T62461-01CM- PIN 0761.44 The Nassau County Department of Public Works has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional construction management and Inspection Services in connection with the following: Construction Management and Inspection Services for Merrick Avenue Traffic Signal Expansion - Contract The Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from firms to provide Professional Construction Management and Inspection Services for Nassau County Department of Public Work’s Traffic Engineering Unit. These services shall include providing Resident Engineering, Office Engineering and Construction Inspection Services for the construction of twenty-three (23) traffic signals and ten (10) traffic cameras along Merrick Avenue within the Hamlets of East Meadow, Merrick and North Merrick as part of the Merrick Avenue Signal Expansion project. The firms selected to provide these services will be awarded a twenty-four (24) month Agreement with the County. Proposal submissions regarding this project are due on or before Friday, October 23, 2026, no later than 3:00 pm EST at the location specified within the RFP. No late proposals will be accepted. Proposals should only be submitted after careful examination of the complete RFP and its requirements. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence. Vendors doing business with Nassau County, including those responding to this solicitation, must register with the County. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposer’s plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002. MWBE UTILIZATION PLAN – In accordance with Title 53, Nassau County Local Law No. 14-2002, all Vendors shall submit a MWBE Utilization Plan with their Proposal. Please be advised the DBE goal for the subject County Federally Aided Project is set at 20%. The Project also has a good faith effort Minority participation goal along with a good faith effort Female participation goal. This project is being subsidized with Federal Funding.
