The City of Norcross is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select a licensed General Contractor to serve as a Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) or General Contractor (CM/GC) for the construction of a new Public Safety Building. The project aims to consolidate the Police Department and Courthouse currently housed within City Hall into a single, purpose-built facility located at 6025 Buford Highway, Norcross, GA. The City emphasizes an expedited procurement process, seeking a firm capable of immediate collaboration during the ongoing schematic design phase to provide value engineering and cost input, ensuring efficient project delivery. The RFQ highlights the importance of a transparent, collaborative approach given the project's tight timeline and the need for early contractor involvement. The selected firm will work closely with the City’s team to develop the project, which is part of a strategic effort to enhance public safety infrastructure. Interested parties are instructed to submit their statements of qualifications by April 19, 2024, with further details available through the designated contact and online portal.
