AIRFIELD 2029 ALL PROJECTS (AIP / AUI / CIRCUITS / FOD) CombinedThe contract encompasses a comprehensive renovation and enhancement of airfield infrastructure at the Port of Seattle, focusing on critical safety, operational efficiency, and environmental compliance improvements. Key components include replacing aging airfield lighting circuits with poor megger readings with modern LED fixtures and signs to improve visibility and reliability while reducing energy consumption and maintenance needs. Simultaneously, failing pavement sections and essential utility systems will be replaced to maintain structural integrity and ensure uninterrupted airfield operations. Wildlife hazard mitigation is addressed through the removal of turf edge dams along runways, taxiways, and access roads, the installation of anti-perching devices on signage to deter birds, and the implementation of regrading and storm drainage infrastructure to eliminate ponding that attracts hazardous wildlife. Additionally, deteriorating flush fire hydrant access hatches will be replaced to ensure rapid and unimpeded access for emergency response teams. This project is part of a larger initiative under the Airfield 2029 All Projects classification and is being managed by the Aviation Project Management Group within the Port of Seattle. The work is critical to sustaining airfield safety, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational readiness. The solicitation was posted on July 4, 2026, and is classified under NAICS code 237990 for other heavy and civil engineering construction. Primary point of contact for inquiries is Yanet Maldonado of the Port of Seattle, reachable via phone or email provided in the contract details.
